And so here it is; the promised Scarecrow fullength. So does it live up to my expectations? Hell yeah!
A car engine starts off, hums a little before the pummelling sets off. While the highly energetic riffs push the music forward the drums add some mosh to it, and the vocals sums it up into a tornado of never-ending smash-hits. Each riff seems carefully planned, and each little solo’s perfectly placed. This is air guitar friendly music; trust me! I have a hard time writing this as my hands are constantly imagining riffs as my head nods along and my entire body is moshing a little in my chair. There are tons of powerful back up choirs, and some very sing-along friendly choruses. And the harsh vocals practically commands you to join in on the fun and shout along.
This stuff is very energetic and powerful. It’s punk rock in the core and flavoured with a dash of hardcore, some minor metallic dozes and huge loads of horror. Awesome! I have but one complaint; the vinyl version of this album contains a bonus track. And since this is a CD promo I didn’t get the 13th track – damn!
