I don’t mean to sound judgemental, but I wasn’t expecting this compilation to be of such high quality. It’s just that most compilation’s suck, and when it’s a new label’s first release history shows us that the label’s just tried to get as many bands as possible together, without any restrictions. But that’s surely not the case for Listen to your… Inner voice.
Avatar and Carnoues will surely satisfy any longing for high quality thrashing. And if you’re looking for brutal, arse-kicking death metal then I’d recommend Arsonist, Carneus and Obscene. But what if all you need is some raw-as-hell black metal? Well, then Minionslayer, Scorched and Nidverk (for example) will do the trick. But trust me, there’s not a single bad track on here. I just figured I’d mention a few to get your interest. This is a really monstrous compilation of mostly unsigned and underground acts, and I’ve discovered quite a few bands I’ll definitely look up. If you wanna know what’s going on in the Swedish metal underground then let Close-up, Slavestate and Sweden Rock Magazine serve as toilet paper. Inner Voice Records is the shit!
