Unloved - Killersongs CD
Genre: Pop/metal Origin: Germany Released: 2006 Website: Unloved Label: - Uploaded: 07.02.06 When receiving Unloved's previous CD for review I was damn surprised, I don't usually receive gothrock stuff. But I liked it, 'cause there was something very appealing about the atmospheric music. Excited as I was when getting Killersongs in my mail, I'm utterly disappointed. Pretty much everything I liked about My Way To Run is gone. This is basically pop, and mixed in is some minor metal and rock. I'm really not liking it. Shya's powerful and amazing voice is being misused. She can send shivers down your spine and make you cry, but this time I'm not feeling anything. There are some really cool breaks, but too much of it. It becomes annoying instead. What happened to the heavy melodies? Now it's just melodies... However, there are some bright parts. The intro for Pandóra is awesome, but that's the big one. The remaining bright spots are quickly forgotten, as it's quickly followed by something utterly disturbing and annoying. They no longer use the vocals to its full extent, the music has become too melodic, too much jazzy pop-related stuff... Just too much. In my ears this is better suited for MTV than on My Last Chapter. And it's sad, 'cause I know they could have done way better... Tracklist: 1. Your greed 2. Heading nod 3. Pandóra 4. Come posing 5.
