Crap. I thought this was a female singer, but in the booklet it says Christian. It sounds like a woman screaming her lungs out. There are some occasional clean vocals, and they definitely sound female too. This guy must be castrated, or I can’t read. The vocals are fucking raw and excellent, but still sounds like a ferocious woman. For the melodic parts here the clean vocals comes out to play, works pretty good. But for the not-so-melodic parts the vocals are screamed, the melodies are fierce and worked through, drums are beaten the crap out of - heavy hardcore madness. I can only compare this to another German band, Forced to Decay. Although this is slightly more melodic, and it can sometimes get too melodic in the long run. That’s too bad, ‘cause this is very good otherwise. Pretty typical, maybe, for the German metallic hc-scene, but this is done exceptionally well. From what I can understand the entire record (or should I say theme for the record) is about Tidal, and the feelings the members get from playing in the band. Probably something to appreciate if you’ve followed the bands development, but I haven’t so it doesn’t attract me. If you don’t mind a load of melodies with your hardcore then this is a must. Very good, but too melodic for me.
