Theres no doubt youre dealing with grind at the edge of gore here. With just one glance at the cover I knew what this was - unreadable logos and pictures of dead people can only mean one thing!
It starts off with Torture Incident. The first thing that comes to mind is that they really shouldnt try some fancy guitar solos, it sounds horrible! The second thing that comes to mind is the terrible sound quality. Ok, this would pass if it were a demo, but not a CD. It is really too damn bad that the productions crappy, it drags this down in the mud. Theres some low quality growling during the slower parts, but the fact that it sounds low quality could be just cause of the crappy sound. But this really sets off later on, it goes fast, the high-pitch screams kicks ass, its excellent! Im not sure whether to call this goregrind or not. It doesnt sound too gory, some titles are gore and some are not, but this sure as hell looks gory. Although the sound quality makes it a little gory too. If Torture Incident would add more faster parts to this and record it in a decent studio this would probably kick ass. Theyve got potential, I definitely can tell! But 16 songs are just too many when the sounds bad.
Holy Crap! Brutal Insanity deals out death metal riffs after death metal riffs. This is definitely some heavy shit, and fast too. The drums are getting beaten to death and vocal cords are molested by deep and guttural growls. In addition to their own four songs they whip up a truly crazed cover of Grots Grub Infested Fuckhole. Im telling you, the high-pitched vocals are really crazy. Yeah! Something thats really sad about this is the fact that the sound quality is kind of bad. Really too damn bad. This would truly rule if it would be produced properly.
As Ive said many times already in this review its too bad that the sound quality is bad, otherwise this would get a much higher rate. But for now this will have to do.
