Ive never heard of either band before, but I have definitely heard of Cerebral Turbulency, and Rubufaso Mukufo is pretty much all Cerebral Turbulency dudes. But these guys really differ from said band. This split starts off in a raging whirlwind of thirteen gored blasting tunes, full of spew, gurgle and growls. A thick and heavy production that lets the tornado of strings hack you to pieces, with a really brutal and full sound. The riffing can turn simplistic just as it can turn into a brutal death metal-alike mangle. Regurgitate and Last Days of Humanity lovers look here. Fast goregrind that doesnt forget the essential groove. Very churning and old school, and absolutely wicked.
Opitz takes on a quite different approach, as the death metal blasting sets in and I instantly think of Misery Index. Quite fast, no frills drumming, while the riffs add just a tad of thrills, without turning into a technical mumbo jumbo. Theres no doubt about it; they have a very heavy grindcore base, upon where theyve built this chugging death metal-vibed tunes that reek of crustcore as well. I have no idea what the hell theyre raving about, cause all lyrics are in their native tongue. But you know what? I dont care, I dont have to know when the tunes are so fucking wicked.
