This is Decoherence’s demo songs re-released once again on a split. But I’m not complaining. ‘Cause this just means I get yet another chance to experience the full ferocity of this act - very powerful mangling death metal. The churning string-work will knock you over, the drums will crush you and the deep screams will haunt you for your short remainder here on this earth. The tunes have a hardcore feeling about them every now and then, which makes me think of Misery Index, the drive however reminds me of Dying Fetus. And that’s no bad comparisons. Vocal wise it’s dark and deep screams, occasionally brighter and occasionally lower – but arse-shredding all the way. Absolutely pulverizing stuff from these frenchies.
It’s my first encounter with the Italian Traitor, but after this I’m definitely looking forward to my next one. This furious blend of grindcore and death metal comes at you in raging speed and absolutely mangles you to death. Such brutality… Easily one of the greatest grind acts I’ve heard lately. You get all kinds of vocals, and often at the same time too, and they’re all bone breaking. This is just totally arse-shredding and horrendously brutal. On Traitor’s website it says they’ll probably have a fullength coming this year, and I can’t fucking wait!
