One of the most brutal death metal demos you'll ever find is Bloodsoaked Serenades by Stabwound. That's why I'm really glad it got re-released as a CD, and with bonus tracks too - A killer cover of the Dying Fetus classic Kill Your Mother, Rape Your Dog and a video track to Ancient Art of Gutting.
For those of you that's missed out on Stabwound I can only explain their music like this: Imagine taking some of the heaviest and most vicious guitar riffs ever and combining it with murderous bass lines and some ferocious drumming. And to top it all off, and to make this into one of the most brutal demos ever, add to that one of the freakiest, most extreme and brutal killer vocalists ever. The fact that this guy, known as Uffe, can create such brutal growling, piglet screaming, gurgling all by himself makes him one of the most brutal vocalists you'll ever hear.
To sum it all up... This is an extremely vicious and brutal CD. An essential record in every man, or woman's, home. Can't wait for the fullength to get here. An homage to Brutal Bands for signing Stabwound.
