Ive never heard of this band before, but theyve apparently released a demo before this one, named simply Demo 1. And since I havent heard the early stuff from this band, I cant really say whats changed and whats improved etc, but this four track promo sure gives me a taste for more. And with this promo theyre looking for a label to release a fullength.
This would be absolutely perfect for a split 7 (if it wasnt for the fact that its three minutes too long to fit the format) cause it really leaves you wanting more. The energetic, crusty and punky hardcore outbursts gets the adrenaline rushing and makes you long for a good mosh pit to really enjoy the tunes. While showing off an aggressive front with the dual screaming, harsh string-work and pounding drums it can be just as melodic with some awesome riffing and sing along friendly choruses. Id say its basically aggressive old school hardcore, drawing influences from both crust and punk bands, creating atmospheric, fierce filled hardcore. And since the members have experience from bands such as Dims Rebellion and Frontlash you know these guys can handle their instruments.
The demo (or promo if you will) opens up with a smashing crust/hardcore tune, getting me thinking of bands such as Tragedy, From Ashes Rise and the likes, as well as the Swedish crustcore manglers Konfrontation. Track two still has the same vibe, but mixes it with the early UK and US hardcore era. Suddenly I hear the saddened and melodic third track Out of my mind and a ton of brick knocks me down to the bottom of the abyss, and the depression starts growing as my inner demons are gnawing away on my soul. But Sleepless Nights will not leave me in that state as the harsh and angry Sleepless Nights song ends this demo in a hate filled and aggressive mood, and I instantly find a way out of the abyss and back into the mosh pit.
A great-as-hell promo, and if theyre fishing for record deals then Im pretty certain any wise label manager would pick these guys for their roster, itd be a damn shame if they didnt!
