So this is the last record from the Swedish crust platoon Personkrets 3:1. Over the years I have been skeptic, so its time to see what the final judgment will be.
Its too damn bad its a 45 RPM, cause Melting ice would have made a wicked doom metal song (at least it did on 33 RPM). But on the correct speed Melting ice is a really good metallic crust tune with serious lyrics, but still the vocals annoy me. The dark back-ups by Eken (the studio guy) is wicked, but Rkans (main vocalist) voice is too weak and his English pronunciation could have used some fine-tuning. Side B starts off with a churning, heavy intro before turning into the usual crustcore were used to. Krigssng is a poem by Dan Andersson, which is of course agony filled, although Im a bit skeptical since Im not much of a poetic guy. The ending track Ruiner is what wins my heart, and thats cause it reminds me a lot of Skitsystem in that heavy, dark crust mangle way. Music-wise this is the bands best ever, I just wish they would have changed vocalists a long time ago.
