I've never really been into Personkrets 3:1, and I didn't really know what to expect from this 10" - I've just been told it would be heavier, darker and much more angst. Well, the fucking ripping and beautiful intro definitely builds up some high expectations... But then it suddenly falls quite flat, and I try to figure out what went wrong. And then it hits me - I can't stand the freaking vocals! The music kicks so much freaking arse, dark and pummelling crust with heavy influences from Acursed. But the vocals seem quite lame, like a little child jealous of his sibling's toys. And combined with whining lyrics like Du står där och ler, fattar ingenting. Välfärden sätter sin kniv mot min hals it comes across like a five year old that got his ice cream taken away!
The artwork by Mathias Krogh rips! And the music kicks major ass, but the wimpy vocals destroys all the greatness of this vinyl. At least get some hoarse vocaled man or woman to do back ups or something.
