Overlord Industries - Pissingonanazi.com CD-R
Genre: Black/thrash metal Origin: Sweden Released: 2005 Website: - Label: - Uploaded: 03.11.05 Huh... This time Overlord Industries left the speed and death metal behind, only to concentrate on a slower mix of black and thrash metal. But still with the weird-ass demo titles... The opening track (after a nameless and pretty much soundless intro) is a showcase of thrashing black metal with semi-agonized screams. And for Something In Common we get parts of viking metal as well as the additional help of a horn instrument (I can't say exactly what the hell it is, but my guess would be some kind of horn instrument, a saxophone maybe?). To be honest I don't care what it is, but it sounds fucking awesome - very original and cool! And after that some hardcorish Soulfly riffing opens up #4... Now, Good Morning Cruel World, #6, is a slow churning sludge/black metal track, with some awesome sampling/percussion elevating it all to a whole other level. A really agonized track! I won't go further into the other songs, but you can expect to find the same diversity and changing of genres... And you might wonder why I didn't bother to mention #5 here above. Well, it's cause I don't really know how to explain that song - an almost completely quiet track, along with #1 and #8... Why? I'm not too sure exactly how serious Overlord Industries are about their music, but it's a damn shame they don't concentrate on making a decent enough recording. The sound's really what's dragging this in the mud, 'cause the music's of damn high quality. It would probably be damn hard selling an album by these guys, as they keep changing genres it would be difficult to promote it, but I would easily get ahold of a copy! Tracklist: 01. 02. Wolf at sight - sheep by blood 03. Something in common (v. 1.2) 04. Re-write (the blueprint for utopia) 05. 06. Good morning cruel world 07. Recollections of the past 5 minutes 08. 09. Kel |
