Yet another band with Sylen that releases a record. You know Sylen, the guy from
Human Waste, Uncle Charles and Dödsdömd. The latter one apparently broke
up, and if I'm not mistaken 365 Dagar Av Synd (365 Days of Sin) is what rose from
its ashes.
This is a limited 7", only 100 copies made, and the theme is gold. The vinyl is gold coloured,
lyric sheet and cover is gold coloured, even the hand numbering is written with a gold pen.
Why this fascination with gold, I don't know. But it looks alright. Well, six songs on
this vinyl, three on each side. And with the first song I was really surprised. I've never
been really impressed with any of the other projects Sylen's involved with. It's been alright,
even pretty good sometimes, but nothing out of the ordinary. But this was really good. At
least I really like the first song. In the long run the record is a bit bland, only two
really noticeable tracks on it - the opening track for each side.
This is a pretty decent crust 7", and I'll probably listen to it again. I think fans of
HW, UC and Dödsdömd are gonna like it, but it's still nothing really
extraordinary. I think Sylen should stop mass-producing records and be a little more picky.
If you would choose the best parts of all his bands you would have a killer record. I know this
band consists of more than just Sylen, but he's involved with all the other bands I find
similarities with, so that's why I keep mentioning him.
As stated before - this is alright, and some parts are really good. But a bit bland in the long run.
