I have absolutely no idea what this promo’s all about. I got it from the Brazilian label Bucho Discos, who’ll be releasing something with Not Enough Hate in the future. But I doubt these are the songs he’ll release, since they’re just from various releases of the band. Oh well, I don’t know.
They start off heavy and pounding with a crushing crust tune. But the vocals are way too soft for the music, just like a raspy rock dude. The second tune is pretty much the same deal. And those two songs are from 1995, and for track three we take a leap forward to 1998. The sound is much more low-fi, but still pretty much the same ol’ deal once again – brutal crustcore with soft vocals. The tunes are really kick-arse. It’s heavy, pummelling, absolutely punishing hardcore/crust. But I keep getting annoyed by the vocals, I would have wanted them a bit more brutal and harsh. The promo ends with a couple of tunes from 2005 and the sound is even weaker this time around.
The whole thing gets me thinking of Straight Edge My Ass. My head starts banging, my body starts rocking, but ends up in a confused state. It’s just the damn vocals that disturbs me.
