A totally unknown Swedish black metal project released a demo in 2004, limited to 30 copies. Now, why this demo is limited to 30 copies is something I will never understand. This one-man band is definitely high quality, Wohlfart knows how to write music (and record it as it's recorded in his own studio).
Slow, depressive black metal with a really chilly feeling is what this is. Excellent vocals here - really cold and tortured, and they add a magnificent suicidal feeling to the music. The riffs are icy and very melancholic, and well executed. Every solo, and the occasional use of keyboard, is executed so damn well.
This is incredibly melancholic, cold and suicidal - he manages to create the feeling many bands dream of doing. The sound is perfectly chilly, but lacks one thing... You can hardly hear the drums! I know this was done on purpose, as it's programmed drums he didn't want the sound to annoy people. He is now working on the debut fullength, and I've heard a demo version of one of the songs. The drum-thingie has been fixed, and I can promise you one truly amazing record when it's out. Some labels have shown interest, but I'm not allowed to tell you which!
Imagine Forgotten Tomb, Shining and Abyssic Hate all mixed up, and you know what to expect. Though I must say this is so fucking high-quality that it doesn't deserve to be compared to other bands of this genre - Nae'blis should be what others dream of being compared to!
