Well this is just straight up grindcore; no frills, no thrills. But unfortunately not all that interesting either.
There’s a lot of tempo variations going on, and the riffing can go from hardcore to death metal to thrash metal, and maybe even a little punk thrown into the mix (and for The grind’n’roll carbonara groove there’s a whole lotta 50ies rock). And with skilled musicians they present their blasting in a tight and slick format. The promo sheet blames Napalm Death, Brutal Truth and S.O.D for inspiring these Italian lads, and I guess it’s safe to say I can hear all three bands present. And what it ends up like is a lot like Retaliation, but a weaker Retaliation. Sure, I guess there are some hooks and twists, but the lame-ass production destroys any and all potential to make an impact. The string section sounds extremely thin, like it hasn’t been mastered yet. And the vocals seem hidden in the background, instead of letting its full ferocity lose.
But I suppose that if you’re looking for a goofier Retaliation this is right up your alley.
