I was actually a bit excited when I first heard that Henrik Peterzons Orkester were doing a 7". I have the old demo, which I acquired about a year ago, so I was anxious to see how they'd developed. This exceeds my expectations by a long shot. Some songs on here are from the old demo. It's nice to hear it re-recorded and all, but it's the new songs that does the trick. They've developed into a faster, raging and just completely ripping crust band. Kick-ass screaming coming from Disdaniel - harsh and high-strung. Lovely! The 80ies hardcorepunk is preserved through the demo songs, so you get a healthy dose of that too. What I also find really cool it the occasional use of double bass-drumming, it gives it a metallic edge that's cool when mixed with the old time punk.
I'm pretty ecstatic about this 7", it's really great. But what would make it even better is to use more of the raging crust and less of the 80ies touch. Not that those songs are bad, but the faster ones are better, and really gets my adrenaline rushing.
