Well Ill be damned, Fromtheashes have actually managed to produce a damn enjoyable record this time around. I havent really been convinced by their earlier releases, and Ive uttered some harsh words from time to time. But if the keep this up I might even go as far as to say theyre really good.
Out of eleven tracks there are only two that are over a minute long, and Im not gonna complain about that. One of the selling points here is just that; short grinding bits that packs a punch and even offers a hardcore-chorus in Inget Krngel. This is such a development from last time I got a promo from these guys. Its not just generic crap anymore. The musicianships undergone a huge evolvement as all instruments are actually at the same place at the same time, which cant be said for some of their previous outputs. And some riffing and part of a few tunes are really killer; like for instance the intro to Buy the Lie - Thats really damn good!
Short, energetic, crusty grinding. Nothing new under the sun but damn effective anyway!
