I just made a new acquaintance. Say hello to the Italian grinders Degenerhate.
With the sound of a toy the demo starts, to break out into a grinding inferno of metallic riffing and deep, dark growls that could scare the crap out of anyone. Take the basics of Napalm Death, add the crusty touch of Disrupt and Doom, mix in some metal from Carcass, add the goregrowling ex-Corpsefuckingart guy Max Varani on vocals, and this is what you get. A crusty, yet metallic, old school grindcore band with a gory touch. It might sound messy, but it’s not. It’s neatly packaged in a good production and flavoured with socio-political lyrics and artwork. Artwork which consists of different images of Bush, Hitler, KKK, a swastika, a bomb exploding, some fire etc. I think you pretty much get the picture. The guys are on the lookout for a label, and that shouldn’t be a problem. This is good stuff, with powerful back up screams that really gets to show off in Failure of God. But it’s not the most interesting grindcore I’ve heard, and it doesn’t really draw me in to look into the band some more. However I’d surely look up any future releases, as I’m sure they can involve into a monster.
