�Blasting horror, gore and porn influenced thrash metal� is a phrase I�d expect in a promo sheet from the Razorback Records� hive. Bithslicer fits in to that description, and could easily be compared to Ghoul and the likes, but with less gore and minus the grindcore. But this is released on Not Common Records and Worldeater Records, so can they live up to the Ghoul comparison, one might wonder. Well, not quite.
Bitchslicer is not really of the same calibre, but then again this is more pure thrash with a twist of The Misfits. Energetic and slick riffing, presented in a razor sharp sound, backed up by a heavy, pummelling bass and swift drumming. Tempo changes and breakdowns are no strangers to these guys, and you�ll find loads of it throughout the album. Fairly typical thrash screaming, similar to the ones of Tom Araya from Slayer, and of course with the obligatory hardcore-esque backups from time to time. What differentiates this band a lot from all other thrash acts is the fact that a lot of the tunes are just a few seconds long, with quite a few of them instrumental; unusual. Track 17, Bitchslicer vs. the Police, features string and drums programming from Cranial Rectosis, creating a seriously digital goregrind oozing song. And after that we get an acoustic cover of GG Allin�s Gimme Some Head and a thrashing version of Willie Nelson�s Mommas. The latter one is especially cool. This entire album is quite cool, and I dare even call it fairly unique in some manners. But I could definitely go without the 43 minutes long ambient track Legends of the Green Skull, it�s not even good ambience.
