Ok, I’m gonna be honest here right off the bat; I hate techno. I hate all forms of electronica, whatever the hell you wanna call it. Most of the time I can’t stand cybergrind either, just ‘cause of the fact that it’s too damn electronic. And this is one of the most extreme cases of this. Boy does it suck.
The opening track is just plain and simply worthless; a boring noise/techno shite track. The remaining material is mostly some metallic riffage drenched in techno beats, at times resembling drum beats but still sounding extremely electronic. I’m sure that's what they want to accomplish with this, and I’m sure some people will love it, but I’m certainly not one of those people. I don’t get the mix of growls, metal and techno. BBYB sounds like mixing Libido Airbag (but trust me, this is way more electronic) with Aphex Twin and even Rammstein. I mean what the hell’s going on?
I guess it is somewhat energetic, and at a rave I’m sure it could be dance worthy. I can imagine the annoying flashy lights and spastic dance moves on the floor. But why would you want to put yourself through the ordeal of listening to this? The only thing they manage to do is give me a headache, I really just don’t get this. The sound quality is good and I think they do their shit pretty well. But to me it is just that; shit. There’s also a video included with a 20+ minutes long interview. But I can’t take them seriously when they have masks on, just like Slipknot, and they’ve scrambled their voices. Come on… The only cool thing about this album is the booklet, which has some really unique design; folding out and turning into a robot. But who would buy an album just for the booklet? I’d much rather listen to my dishwasher.
