The style of this band is probably the biggest hype in today's hardcore scene. You know... Tragedy, From Ashes Rise etc etc. By some labelled as neocrust. It's a good genre, but I'm getting a little sick of all bands playing pretty much the same shit. Anyways, Bamn does it well. They have a good vocalist doing the screaming, the riffs are good, solos are good. The use of Swedish lyrics on the B-side is nice as it makes them stick out a bit against the crowd of foreign bands of this style. They use a banjo in between two songs, something I find really cool. And the artwork is nice withouth getting too artsy fartsy. The music has a feeling to it and the songs differs from one another. This is actually really good, but I'm still a bit sick of this genre right now, which probably lowers the grade a bit. The B-side is an older recording, and the sound is a bit rawer on than side A, which fits well and sounds good. And I also think the songs are a bit better, but it could also be the Swedish lyrics... Dunno... I just like it better.
