Cheeses, theres not a second on Monstrosity per defectum thats not jam-packed with brutality and intensity. Right from the get go, the technical riffing sets in, speeding up and slowing down again before youve even realized the albums started.
Its filled with tempo changes back and forth, and the chugging breakdowns and frantic drumming sometimes gets me thinking of hardcore. Although the end result is fairly similar to American bands such as Pustulated and Dripping. So this is seriously brutal blasting death metal, just flavored with some grindcore and a touch of hardcore. The chainsaw guitars can be raging forth in blazing speed, all while the bass is churning and pummeling, and with the drumming tempo switching back and forth. There can be like three different speeds all at the same time, and they make it work. Hernan is growling his lungs out, occasionally turning into desperate shrieks.
The sound is chunky and thick, letting all instruments take its toll on your ears. Theres nothing to complain about with this tight-as-hell album.
