What the hells happened to Ambrazura? This is certainly not as good as Life & death (the only other album Ive heard by them). That annoying drum problem is still there; rigid and sucky as soon as it speeds up. And in Pain the drummings way off, not even close to being in tune with the guitars. It sounds like a terrible drum machine programming, set up by a rookie. The old school feeling I liked about them earlier is gone, and they seem headstrong on technicality this time. But the technicality falters as it doesnt sound very skilled, and the riffings not interesting anymore. For the fast parts it just ends up like a blurry mess. Sure, there are some great groove sections built in, but for the most part its just uninteresting and rigid blasting.
Unfortunately theyve also incorporated some seriously annoying keyboard moments as well. Almost every track is utterly destroyed by some disturbing and horrible keyboard parts, and sometimes they even add some fucked up clean, stoned smurf-sounding, vocals. Instead of coming off as a breath of fresh air, creating something new, it ends up as annoying, half-arsed death metal.
A good thing about the album is the live video of a couple of songs thats included, but like with the rest of the Kravia theres also some major downers to it; the sounds so utterly sucky you cant even hear which songs it is, and the filmings almost entirely concentrated on Sergei, who just stands there staring at his guitar as he growls.
